Regarding the same sex marriage, here are two interesting articles.
One analyses the different family types and its political corresponding concepts, and the differences between defending heterosexual marriages, homosexual marriages and civil unions.
The other highlights the legal discrimination between straight and gays, illustrated by a Kansas court case. A consensual sexual touching between a minor male teenager [15] and an 18-year-old male teenager, that ended when the former changed his mind, resulted in a 17-year prison sentence and life long registry as a sexual offender for the latter. According to the acting law, an actual sexual act between a female minor and an adult would be punished with 15-months prison sentence.
